This artwork aims to transcend discussions of religion and instead delve into the unique capacity of humanity to create and accept certain images or concepts, thereby rationalizing those that are difficult or unwilling to be explained. It reflects the influence of human brain structure and evolutionary history, revealing humanity's preference for simplification and generalization, as well as its aversion to the unknown and chaos. When faced with fear of the unknown or uncertainties about the meaning of life that cannot be explained, people tend to seek explanations on a spiritual level, with religion being one such framework.
Through this artwork, the artist seeks to explore how humanity creates and submits to these frameworks of explanation. Humans often feel small in the face of so-called deities, which are, nonetheless, created by humans themselves. Therefore, the choice of using human bones as material is not only to highlight this sense of self-created mystery but also to examine how humans, when questioning their own existence, often place their emotions in religious or other interpretive frameworks.
